“I love supporting the people on the front lines of American democracy. Helping service-oriented people make the law work for them is feel-good work that truly matters.”
Adam is an associate in Sands Anderson’s government and litigation practice groups. He helps governmental entities understand and navigate the wide range of litigation issues that arise when serving the public.
He has a particular interest in appellate matters, honed through his clerkship with the Virginia Supreme Court. While there, Adam deepened his appreciation for public servants who must weigh the political, fiscal, and legal aspects of each issue while addressing the needs of their communities. Leveraging this experience, Adam provides broad-based, holistic counsel to public officials, leaders, and staff members to support the governmental entities they serve. In support of the firm’s Litigation Group, Adam collaborates on drafting briefs and arguing appellate issues before the Virginia Court of Appeals and Virginia Supreme Court.
In addition to his litigation and appellate work, Adam counsels cities, counties, towns, nonprofits, and schools on matters of governance, strategy, and operations. His practice includes supporting public school divisions across the Commonwealth with a variety of general and special education issues.
In his free time, Adam enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include travel, hiking, and reading. He is also a political junkie. Adam is also an ordained rabbi, having received ordination from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. Prior to becoming an attorney, Adam served as a rabbi in Israel, Canada, and Virginia, and continues to teach and give sermons in his spare time.
