Stephen V. Durbin is a member of the Government group. His practice focuses on a wide variety of local government issues including enforcement actions, regulatory matters, zoning and land use issues, and economic development.  Steve routinely appears at public meetings and hearings on behalf of his local government clients, and provides representation as a litigator in Virginia's district and circuit courts.  

In addition to his general local government experience, Steve focuses on advising clients regarding the public procurement process, helping them navigate their projects from the conceptual planning stage through the grant application process, bidding and contract award, and contract administration during performance of the contract. 

Steve works in the Southwest Virginia Office located in Christiansburg, Virginia.  Steve has represented clients in a wide range of litigation matters in his previous general practice work, including commercial litigation, estate matters and professional liability claims.

While attending law school, Steve worked as a Research Assistant for the National Center for State Courts in Williamsburg Virginia and interned for the United States Army, Judge Advocate General in San Antonio, Texas.
